North Andover announces it’s SMILE contest WINNER!!

With the winter chill leaving and spring quickly approaching we have many reasons to SMILE. Recently we ran a contest asking why patients thought their smile were important. We would like to proudly announce Mary Polland as our contest Winner! She will receive 2 tickets to Laser Craze. Her winning response was, ” My smile is important for many reasons… not just for eating, but for looking and feeling your best when you look in the mirror or at a photo. A good smile gives you confidence to do anything because you have straight, white teeth because of Dr.Todd.” We could not have said it better Mary, Congratulations! Other notable responses included: Alexis P ” I want to have a pretty smile for boys to dig me” and Alex D writes ” A smile makes me the person I am today, and it is different from everyone else’s. When I smile, it is a sense of accomplishment and joy. My smile lets me express myself everyday of my life.” We thank everyone who participated. We loved reading all of your responses. We’re so proud of all of our patients and their accomplishments! Most recently, Emma Joanis, sang the National Anthem at TD Garden for the Boston Bruins game. She sang last year at Fenway Park for the Red Sox and has been invited to sing March 4th, at the TD Garden for the nationally televised Celtics versus Knicks Game!!! Emma is a busy gal, she is currently performing as Wendy in Peter Pan at the Palace Theater! Way to go Emma!

Visits to Nashua, Hudson, Litchfield, and Londonderry Schools for Dental Health Month!

Did you know that February is Dental Health Month? We’ve been visiting local second grade classrooms to teach the students about the importance of dental health. We show an awesome movie that explains what their visit to an orthodontic office will be like.

We listen to all of the stories from the kids. The most popular are how they lost their tooth and how their friends or family members that have braces! We give some handouts and cool treats to take home and finish our visit with a recomendation to come see us soon!

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children have an orthodontic exam at the age of seven to establish a base line and enable the doctor to decide on the best course of treatment as she monitors their growth and development.

2nd Annual Candy Give Back in North Andover

We asked the students at the 5 North Andover public elementary schools & St. Michaels to donate their Halloween candy that was left over 1 week after Halloween. Last year we collected 775 pounds of candy. This year we surpassed that amount by collecting 1,047 pounds! All that candy was donated to the troops overseas. Congratulations to:

Sargent School 183 pounds

Kittredge School 176.5 pounds

St. Michaels 164 pounds

Thomson 153.5 pounds

Atkinson 114.5 pounds

We would like to congratulate Nastara Greenberg, Trevor Merrill, Christine O’Connor and Davis McVay for their brace freedom. Way to go guys on achieving a perfect smile. You look fantastic! You’ve done all the hard work by wearing those elastics and coming in to see us for your regular appointments and now comes the easy part, retention. Retention is the MOST IMPORTANT part of orthodontic treatment. Without retainers your teeth would shift and rotate and your smile wouldn’t stay straight for very long. The time, effort and money invested in your smile would be completely wasted. Wear them well and that perfect smile will look like that forever. We’ve enjoyed helping you create a beautiful and healthy smile for a life time. Congratulations!
